    Your role in the team

     

    This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the NextGen Core team. NextGen is the Claims Engine and is core to Claims Technology ecosystem.  It is critical to modernize NextGen to enable the Claims organization to meet our Digital goals.  These roles will require strong .NET developers to develop and maintain the current system and lean into any modernization required for the digital goals of our future state. 

     

    The NextGen Core team is responsible for the development, maintenance and management of the primary Claims platform. As a NextGen Core .NET Developer, you will work in a SAFE Agile team structure with teams in ANA, ANI, ASPL and MDC. Partnering with Claims leaders and SMEs across multiple business and tech areas to analyze and refine business requirements and translate them into actionable solutions. 

     

     

    Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

     

    • Effective communication with teammates, business stakeholders and other technology teams
    • Work effectively as part of a distributed team within agile delivery frameworks
    • Provide agile estimates
    • Provide technical documentation (Acceptance Criteria, Story Tasking etc.)
    • Develop code for internet facing web applications and backend services, VB .NET, C#.NET
    • Troubleshoot and debug technical issues in a variety of application environments
    • Create/Write processes for adoption across the team

     

     

    So, what are the essential criteria to apply?

     

    • All candidates must evidence an existing right to work in the UK'
    • At minimum 2 - 4 years' development experience including 2 years' .Net experience
    • Experience with SQL and databases, preferably Oracle

    • NextGen Components knowledge 
    • Claims Business knowledge 
    • Knowledge of Agile methodologies 
    • Desire and Ability to learn new technologies and skills 
    • Design Patterns
    • Clean Code
