    Your role in the team

     

    An exciting opportunity with our Allstate Canada Server Platform Solutions team as an Active Directory Service Engineer.

     

    Active Directory group is part of the Server Platform Solutions in ACG department. It is responsible for architecting, managing, supporting, and providing improvements to all aspects of Microsoft Active Directory (AD) Technology. Ensuring availability of Allstate systems, authentication, authorization and LDAPS related services to internal and external customers.

     

    The major focus of this team is to plan, design and implement AD Life Cycle upgrades, Multiple Domain Consolidation, emerging new tools, and techniques so to ensure AD capability is highly available and effective support for the Allstate Canada Group (ACG).

     

    • Strong knowledge in managing Active Directory 2016/2019 infrastructure. Assist Senior AD resource in design, implementation, and support of a highly available multi-domain directory.
    • Provide 2nd level support and occasionally 1st level for Active Directory for end users, application, and administration teams, must be comfortable in addressing Priority 1 level incidents that can arise 24X7
    • Participate in security and application troubleshooting and incident problem resolutions with other infrastructure teams, including storage, messaging, and server.
    • Participate in capacity planning, performance monitoring and maintenance to ensure high availability.
    • Coordinate & participate service/support needs with Vendors, Technical Support Engineers, Application Support Engineers, and the Infrastructure Team effectively communicating issues and resolutions
    • Work on coordination and deployment of application and infrastructure related changes
    • Follow best practices for the supported technology
    • Manage change process, support, and request queue
    • Develop, define, and create best practices processes for directory infrastructure

     

     

    So, what are the essential criteria to apply?

     

    • All candidates must evidence an existing right to work in the UK
    • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in an Active Directory role for a larger organization
    • Experience administering Active Directory in an enterprise class environment with multiple forests.
    • Experience in:
      • PowerShell scripting
      • SCOM
      • PKI Certificates and SSL
      • Creating and deploying Group Policies
    • Knowledge in Infrastructure services: DNS, DFRS, Microsoft Active Directory, WSUS, Windows Server 2016/2019/2019 Core required.

     

     

    We also have some desirable criteria

     

    • Technical certifications such as MCP, MSCA, MCSE are a plus.
    • Multi-Factor Authentication, O365 and Azure AD is a bonus
    • ITIL methodology.
