    Digital Development are currently recruiting for Robotics Developers.

    The Digital Development team develop and deliver a customer centric digital transformation programme across Danske Bank. The team are responsible for the digital strategy in Danske Bank UK. Which includes maximising delivery from existing digital solutions and working with internal and external networks, and Danske Bank Group to secure investment into new and emerging technologies allowing Danske Bank to offer truly innovative digital customer solutions. 

    Role Description

    The role holder will develop, test, implement and maintain robotic automated processes. 

    This will involve using a combination of programming software within an agile framework to support the implementation of our Digitize and Simplify programme and to make more possible across Danske Bank UK. 

    The role involves working closely with Business Analysts, subject matter experts and the Automation Technical Architect to design, develop, test and implement automation solutions. 

    There will be full training on existing and future automation technologies. 

    Typical Responsibilities include; 

    • Working with the Automation Development Manager and Automation Technical Architect to deliver automation solutions in line with KPIs. These include reduction in manual processing time, reduction in errors, and reduction in lead time and improvement in customer satisfaction.
    • Robotic candidate identification – as the subject matter expert on robotics, assess the suitability of tasks for robotic solutions and make appropriate recommendations to the Automation Development Manager / Automation Technical architect.
    • Testing – develop, coordinate and undertake testing activities within the project team to ensure robotic solutions function properly to suit business requirements.
    • Release Management – support the planning and release of automation solutions to achieve a co-ordinated rollout of changes.
    • Devise solutions to minimise exceptional transactions falling out of standard processing and identify continuous improvements to solutions implemented.
    • Quality Management – follow agreed protocols for project and automation processes. This includes Zero defects in outputs, documentation and programming.
    • Ensure full compliance with all Group standards, policies, processes and procedures and with all external legal, regulatory and voluntary code obligations, thus enabling the customer to be provided with a high quality, professional and compliant service. 
    • Maintain project plans to reflect core activities and progress against these.
    • Bring to the attention of the Automation Development Manager / Automation Technical Architect  any problems or issues identified in the course of the job holder’s work that might impact on the level and quality of service provided, to enable corrective action to be taken.
    • Undertake various initiatives / projects around new technology as assigned by the Automation Development Manager.
    • Train colleagues as necessary and share best practices across Robotics Centre of Excellence.

    Candidates should be able to demonstrate the following:

    Experience

    Essential;

    • Experience in solving business or process problems using technical solutions.
    • Experience of mapping and documenting complex processes
    • Excellent PC Skills with Microsoft products e.g. excel, access and/or InfoPath
    • Understanding of workflow based logic and the ability to both understand a business process from a workflow diagram and to conceptualise it as an automated solution
    • Knowledge of business process methodology and process re-engineering 

    Preferred; 

    • Robotics Process Automation development experience is desirable, preferably with UI Path
    • Business Analysis background and a track record in successful delivery and support of excel macros, visual basic scripts or other configuration / scripting type technology is desirable
    • Computer Science/software development experience with knowledge of VB.NET, C#, Java etc. desirable
    • Experience of leveraging APIs within a robotic process
    • Experience with MS Visio or other diagramming or modelling tools desirable
    • Experience of Blue Prism development is also desirable 

    Salary and benefits

    • £23,203 - £36,256 salary dependent upon experience.
    • 37 days’ leave per year (27 days’ annual leave plus 10 paid bank holidays).
    • Company pension contribution – we will contribute up to 10% of your salary.

    Please Note

    This is a full time role at 35 hours per week.
