    Your role in the team

     

     

    The Underwriting Decision Modeling team within Implementation Strategy and Operations (IS&O) is transforming its business logic by implementing the Sapiens Decision Model methodology.

     

    With the business rules transformational effort ongoing within Underwriting IS&O an exciting opportunity has arisen within the Decision Modeling team for an additional Decision Modeler.

     

     

    Responsibilities include (but are not limited to)

     

     

    As a Decision Modeler you will be responsible for creating and maintaining decision models of moderate complexity which accurately capture the rules for the decisions that make up specific product offerings. You will also validate the accuracy of decision models both by adhering to decision architecture guidelines and constructing the test cases necessary to compare expected results with actual results. You will also align to decision modeling best practices and all associated quality and approval procedures.

     

    As a Decision Modeler you will liaise with the various Decision Modeling sub-teams responsible for implementing the New Business and Renewals based Underwriting Decision Management projects for Allstate, as well as governing the various enhancement / maintenance ongoing workloads.

     

    Your responsibilities will include partnering with your fellow Decision Modelers, Analysts, Architects, Glossary Admin, Product and Business Owners eliciting the logic driving the business decisions, modeling, validating, testing, deploying and integrating the logic.

     

    *Successful candidate will undergo a comprehensive Decision Modeling onboarding and training program. This will ensure our newest team member has the necessary core competencies and skills required to be successful in the Decision Modeling role within our growing IS&O Decision Modeling team here at Allstate Northern Ireland*

     

     

    So, what are the essential criteria to apply?

     

     

    • All candidates must evidence an existing right to work in the UK'
    • At minimum 1 years software development/ IT experience

     

    We also have some desirable criteria

     

     

    • Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools
    • Degree level qualification (any discipline)
    • Proven ability to influence others and lead change
    • Strong logic, written and oral communication skills
    • Organized, responsive and highly thorough problem solver
