    Your Role:

    As the IT Service Delivery Manager you will play a key role in the Technology & Digital Development (T&DD) function.  The role sits within the IT & Information Security Team but you will work closely with colleagues from other teams within the function including Automation/Digital Development, Customer Journeys/Digital Channels and Data Analytics.  We are committed to constantly evolving our ways of working, using new technology to revolutionise the way we do business with our customers, suppliers, and other partners.  And as an IT Service Delivery Manager you can help us on this journey by getting involved in cutting-edge activities to help us digitalise and simplify.

    You will help lead the delivery of a wide range of IT services for the Bank, working collaboratively with technical and business stakeholders within the project delivery lifecycle and also act as IT Service/Application Owner – working with other IT, business and 3rd party stakeholders in order to provide ongoing support for the Bank’s IT Services.

    What does your role look like?

    Using your knowledge of industry trends and developments, you’ll apply to continuously improve service delivery to our clients, both internal and external.  Providing advice and guidance and being able to challenge the business in relation to IT-enabled transformation is critical in order to support the achievement of business objectives.

    As the IT Service Delivery Manager developing strong working relationships is key, particularly with our Business Analysts to understand business requirements so that solution options that are recommended provide the best fit against functional and non-functional requirements.  Throughout project lifecycles, you will provide technical design authority as well as technical oversight and direction to key stakeholders in relation to the planning, implementation, and go-live of new or enhanced IT Services.

    You will proactively manage the development of the infrastructure & application portfolio to ensure that suitable technology roadmaps are in place to guide future development of IT Services (including consideration of IT Security implications)

    Using your technical expertise, you will also oversee and assist with the transition of IT products and services into operational business-as-usual (as part of a DevOps model).  You’ll support the deployment of infrastructure to enable new solutions for the Bank and act as the key point of contact with IT Risk & Security Management teams in relation to, for example, IT Security Risk Assessments, consideration of cloud services adoption, etc.

    You'll maintaining a high level of technical knowledge to allow you to comfortably manage internal and external relationships.

    Your skills:

    Your areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role:

    Essential

    • Experience of working in an IT Service Management role ideally in an ITIL environment
    • Evidence of successful delivery within the IT development lifecycle
    • Evidence of working within an agile framework
    • Prior experience of assessing IT risk and security implications of new or enhanced solutions.

    You will also thrive in this role if you have experience of cloud based technologies and working within a DevOps environment.
