    Your role in the team

     

    The eDiscovery Services Consultant is responsible for handling all aspects of data management using e-discovery technology tools. The Consultant will report directly to the eDiscovery Services Manager but will also collaborate closely with the Discovery and Information Governance Solutions (DIGS) team in Law and Regulation.

     

    The eDiscovery Services Team at Allstate provides services for our business partners in the DIGS, Human Resources and Investigative Services areas and supports the applications in our eDiscovery product portfolio. The Consultant is chiefly responsible for managing all case data from initial receipt through final disposition and in all critical interim steps. It is expected that the Consultant will master all phases of collection and processing. They will be expected to become adept in the use of all the processing and review systems including Exterro Fusion, Magnet EnCase Enterprise and Relativity.

     

    This role is also responsible for managing the vendor relationship for vended applications used by eDiscovery Services. This includes software patching and upgrades, security vulnerability remediation and back-end administration of associated on-premise infrastructure. Additionally, the Consultant will be accountable for managing the case workflow for the team.

     

    • Control of collection, loading and processing of electronic discovery data.
    • Active communication with the Manager and Discovery and Information Governance Solutions (DIGS) throughout the case lifecycle.
    • Find ways to improve processes and build efficiencies in the daily workflow.
    • Hands-on, daily, work in EnCase Enterprise, Office 365 Compliance Portal and Relativity.
    • Remediate security vulnerabilities for applications and infrastructure supported by eDiscovery Services.
    • Perform application updates and upgrades as necessary.
    • Mastery of all data processing systems, techniques, and workflows in Relativity.
    • Involvement in ongoing data remediation and archiving.
    • Maintenance of Chain of Custody where appropriate.
    • Involvement in vendor activity and communication.
    • Perform stringent quality control checks of data and load files created internally or from vendors and other third-party sources, for loading into Relativity.
    • Collaborate with other eDiscovery Services team members in all aspects project work, as needed, but also capable of working independently to accomplish team goals.
    • Write clear, concise regular status updates for leadership.
    • Assist with testing existing as well as new software and participate in vendor demonstrations.
    • Perform other duties, as assigned by the eDiscovery Services Manager.
    • Pursue additional education and training in relevant eDiscovery Technology topics.
    • Understand, and strictly maintain, the confidentiality of all matters involved.

     

     

     

    So, what are the essential criteria to apply?

     

    • All candidates must evidence an existing right to work in the UK'
    • A minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar role
    • DBA or strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL 2016 or similar relational database.
    • Prior experience with administration of Microsoft desktop and server operating systems.

     

     

     

    We also have some desirable criteria

     

    • Bachelor's degree or solid equivalent experience in an eDiscovery Technology or Litigation Support Analyst or equivalent role.
    • Project coordination/management experience is highly desired.
    • Relativity certifications; RCA, RCP
    • Opentext EnCase certifications; EnCE, EnCeP.
    • Prior work experience supporting eDiscovery processes in a law firm, corporate or vendor setting.
