    Team/Function Overview:

    This role is to join the Business Analysis team within Fund Services Technology, working closely with partners in Funds Operations and Product to deliver technological solutions globally within Citi Funds. The team provides support and analysis for a range of functions within Funds, including Fund Accounting, Middle Office, Transfer Agency and Funds Reporting. This role would focus on strategic Fund Accounting projects globally.

     

    Role Overview:

    The Fund Accounting Technology Business Analyst is an intermediate-level position responsible for liaising between business users and technologists to exchange information in a concise, logical, and understandable way in coordination with the Technology team.

    This position is to work within the Funds Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to identify and implement best practices within Fund Accounting and to play a role in the design, test, and implementation of creative solutions for our clients.


    Responsibilities:

    • Formulate and define systems solutions for complex projects and work with Development and business users to design, test and release these solutions to the production environment.

    • Consult with users and clients to solve complex system issues/problems through in-depth evaluation of business processes, systems and industry standards and recommends solutions. Document the functional specifications and provides user and operational support when new developments are initially released into a production environment.

    • Support systems change processes from requirements through implementation and provide input and solutions based on analysis of information.

    • Identify and communicate risks and impacts, considering business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment. Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency.

    • Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members. Act as advisor or coach to new or lower-level analysts and work as a team to achieve business objectives, performing other duties and functions as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • Relevant experience in financial services industry. Fund Accounting experience a significant advantage but not essential.

    • Knowledge and Experience of Multifonds,  Invest One and / or Unity an advantage.

    • Experience in data analysis with intermediate/advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills.

    • Proven interpersonal, data analysis, diplomatic, management and prioritization skills.

    • Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication in English.

    • Proven ability to manage multiple activities and build/develop working relationships. Demonstrated ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines and approach work methodically with attention to detail.

    • Proven self-motivation to take initiative and master new tasks quickly and has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision. Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.

     

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
