    Your role in the team

     

    As a member of the global Service Asset and Configuration Management team (SACM) within Allstate’s Compute Services division, you will be responsible for driving key deliverables for strategic initiatives of the Software Asset Management team.

     

    The SACM Lead Business Analyst applies knowledge and facilitative expertise to gather and define requirements, to achieve functional objectives and provide innovative solutions to business problems. The role will be to oversee the definition, optimization, and adoption of key cross functional SAM processes within Allstate, including software requested, deployment management and retirement.

     

    It will incorporate aspects of the new Get Tech initiative and Application Portfolio Management and work closely with the software product owner community to define their responsibilities and accountabilities in relation to the software assets they own. In addition, the Business Analyst participates in the analysis and design efforts for complex projects and business processes and establishes a common understanding of the business environment in which a complex project or solution must be defined, designed, created, deployed, used and supported.

     

    This is a fantastic opportunity to fulfil a key, role in a global team using industry-leading technologies to enable strategic solutions to reduce information technology (IT) costs and limit business and legal risk related to the ownership and use of software while maximizing IT responsiveness and end-user productivity. As a Lead Business Analyst, you will bring together people, processes, and technology to control and optimize the use of software across the global organization.

     

     

    • Provides expertise for the SAM Team through analysis and understanding of business needs, processes, and policies. Applies an advanced knowledge of programs, policies, and procedures in a business area or technical field gained through extensive experience and training
    • Working with the SAM product owner, take leadership on the definition, optimization and adoption of key internal and cross functional processes and policy.
    • Contribute to the defined governance processes which will help to underpin SAM initiatives within Allstate
    • Represents their area externally in benchmarking and best practice efforts. Provides business expertise across projects to ensure a consistent resolution of common technology issues
    • Uses appropriate tools and techniques to elicit and define requirements that address the most complex business processes or projects of high complexity
    • Become and remain familiar with SAM tooling within Allstate, including but not limited to Flexera.
    • Coordinates effective relationship management among various strategic organizations, mentors, communicates and delegates through transition management
    • Analyzes requirements and creates or contributes to functional designs, leveraging advanced and/or specialized technical knowledge. Will be instrumental in designing and/or improving, documenting, and delivering cross functional processes, policies and governance within IT, Procurement and Finance.
    • Assists with ideation, project initiation or planning for projects of high complexity
    • Follows change control process to manage changes to baselined deliverables and scope for projects of high complexity
    • Leads, plans and consults on information gathering sessions

     

     

    So, what are the essential criteria to apply?

     

    • All candidates must evidence an existing right to work in the UK
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Business Analyst working in insurance industry, project management, or technology required
    • Demonstrated Continuous Improvement and Problem Management skills required
    • Microsoft suite applications expert required
    • Experience in designing and implementing complex cross functional processes, defining policy and governance structures

     

     

     

    We also have some desirable criteria

     

    • Degree level qualified
    • Waterfall and Agile project experience preferred
    • ITIL Foundations and advanced ITIL certifications preferred
    • Software Asset Management knowledge or experience beneficial
