    Your role in the team

     

    The Cyber Security Technical Trainer is responsible for developing and executing training content across all teams within the Security Operations Center (SOC).  Trainers are also responsible for the technical and process content that is stored in the knowledge center for the SOC.  Training content may be process-based and/or may be based on technical skills or technologies.  The individual in this role will report to the Manager of Incident Handling/Information Intelligence & Reporting.

     

     

    • Create and maintain documentation within the knowledge center for all Security Operations Center (SOC) teams
    • Develop and execute process training for all SOC teams based on need
    • Develop and execute technical training for all SOC teams based on need
    • Conduct post-training analysis to determine effectiveness of training
    • Work with managers of SOC teams to determine the training necessary and the frequency

     

     

    So, what are the essential criteria to apply?

     

    • All candidates must evidence an existing right to work in the UK
    • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent industry experience
    • Must have 5+ years of information security experience with advanced knowledge of at least one of the following areas: incident handling, ethical hacking, or cyber defense. 
    • Previous experience training, mentoring, coaching, and developing others on process and technical topics
    • a strong foundation in networking, operating systems, and threats.
    • Experience of developing training content using MS PowerPoint and other presentation software
    • Experience of managing multiple projects at once
    • Strong technical writing skills
    • Ability to identify and present information in the most effective format for the audience

     

     

    We also have some desirable criteria

     

    • Professional security management certification such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or comparable certifications.
    • Training certification such as CompTIA Certified Technical Trainer (CCT+)
