This Microcredential explores the relationship between planetary health, sustainability, wellbeing and professional practice.
Students will examine how organisations and services can respond to climate and environmental challenges while promoting equity, resilience and improved outcomes for people, communities and wider systems.
WHO IS THIS MICROCREDENTIAL FOR?
This Microcredential is suitable for professionals and postgraduate learners with an interest in sustainability, planetary health, climate change, public health, social care, education, leadership, policy, community development or service improvement. It will be particularly relevant to those working in health and social care, public services, voluntary and community organisations, education, local government, sustainability roles, management or policy settings who want to understand how their work can contribute to more sustainable, equitable and resilient systems.
WHY STUDY THIS MICROCREDENTIAL?
There is increasing demand for professionals who can understand and respond to the connections between climate change, environmental sustainability, health, wellbeing and social equity. Organisations across health, social care, public services, education, community development and policy are expected to contribute to sustainability goals while maintaining safe, effective and equitable services.
This Microcredential responds to that need by supporting learners to critically examine planetary health challenges and develop practical, evidence-informed approaches that create environmental, social, organisational and health co-benefits.
