Belfast-based software firm TM3 has developed a ‘telehealth’ feature to help healthcare and wellbeing clinics deliver remote consultations during the coronavirus lockdown.
The company specialises in clinic and class management software, designed for the likes of physiotherapists, podiatrists, personal trainers, nutritionists and pilates instructors.
As a result of social distancing and self-isolation, most of its customers have had to close their clinic doors and can no longer deliver face-to-face consultations or hands-on treatments.
TM3 thus developed a telehealth tool coupled with its new TM3 Connect platform, which it says “allows our customers to offer an on-demand healthcare service to their clients – allowing them to offer online bookings, online payments and remote consultations without the need for multiple systems.”

TM3 added that Connect’s features include its customer’s marketing integrations, client portal, subscriptions, packages and class manager, "all of which can be bundled into your own white-labelled Connect web-app."
The telehealth aspect combines with this to allow healthcare professionals deliver remote consultations via a two-way video link whilst completing clinical notes at the same time.
Jeremy Allen, client services director said: “Staying connected to your business and patients in any way possible during these uncertain times is positive for all concerned. As a sign of our commitment to the healthcare sector we are offering this service free of charge to our off the shelf clients during this outbreak.”
