Malone Lodge takes off following 2019 Ascend Collection award

  • Malone Lodge has been doing well since picking up a 2019 Ascend Collection Hotel award back in April and is proving popular with conference attendees.

Belfast has no shortage of hotels today, ranging from the massive new Grand Central Hotel and historic Europa Hotel to more personal boutique offerings such as Malone Lodge. The value of boutique hotels was on display at this year's Choice Hotels European Conference last April, where Malone Lodge picked up the 2019 Ascend Collection Hotel award.

The four-star hotel in a Victorian town-house was recognised for its high standards and convenient location for travellers, situated in the Queen's Quarter of South Belfast between the Lisburn & Malone Roads. The hotel has a central location near the Queen's University and conference spaces such as Riddel Hall (which recently hosted NI Dev Conf), and is located near train and bus routes to other popular event locations throughout Belfast.

Malone Lodge has been doing well since it won the award, and being listed in the Ascend Collection may be boosting confidence for many people travelling to Belfast for breaks and events. The number of tech and business conferences in Belfast is on the rise thanks to Belfast City Council's recently announced Belfast Makes Sense initiative, which aims to attract more conferences and high-profile events to the city.

While Malone Lodge is convenient to some of Belfast's biggest event spaces, the lodge itself also has serviced meeting rooms and event space that has been selected by several companies this year. The space is designed for training and team-building retreats, seminars, small exhibitions to clients, boardroom meetings, product launches, and even important interviews. Other benefits of the lodge for events include free car parking, reliable wifi, and a dedicated conference team on staff.
