£4m investment in Carryduff's Let’s Go Hydro water park

  • The Let's Go Hydro waterpark in Carryduff is set to re-open permanently thanks to a £4m investment that will create 100 jobs.

With summer just around the corner, it's a good time for Ireland's largest water park resort to be re-opening. The Let's Go Hydro water sport, activity, and accomodation resort opened in Knockbracken Reservoir in Carryduff last summer for a four-month period, and now it looks like it's back for good thanks to a significant £4m investment.

Let's Go Hydro managed to attract over 50,000 visitors when it opened as a pop-up attraction last summer. Based on this success, the organisation's CEO Pete Boyle has decided to invest £4m to re-open the facility permanently and double the size of the water park. The park will re-open on Saturday April 20th, and is expected to create up to 100 new jobs.

The park will be expanded to include new accomodation for up to 200 guests, including a Safari Lodge, a House Boat, and a number of premium camping pods. The site will also benefit from a revamped Cafe, improved changing rooms, and new woodland walks. The park's owners are already planning additional developments later this year to accomodate visitors beyond the summer months, including Ireland's largest cable park and a beach.

Pete Boyle, CEO of Let’s Go Hydro said "Let’s Go Hydro is a first of its kind in Northern Ireland and we’ve invested heavily in the site to bring it up to international standards. We’ve worked incredibly hard to improve the facilities with a brand new water park that has doubled in size and high quality accommodation that can cater for up to 200 people, so those visitors returning will see a dramatic difference in the offering."
