Engineers Week 2024 Competition Announced: Sparking Innovation in STEAM Education

  • Engineers Ireland Northern Region, in collaboration with STEAM Ambassadors NI, is thrilled to announce the launch of the Engineers Week 2024 Competition.

    This exciting competition is a key highlight of Engineers Week, which aims to inspire and engage Key Stage 1, 2, and 3 students across Northern Ireland in the fascinating world of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM).

    Engineers Week 2024, taking place from 4th-8th March 2024, is a celebration of innovation, creativity, and the limitless possibilities of STEAM education. The competition invites young minds aged 5-14 throughout Northern Ireland to explore the biggest challenges in STEAM and propose their innovative solutions.

    The competition is open to Key Stage 1 (5-8 years old), Key Stage 2 (9-11 years old), and Key Stage 3 (12-14 years old) students across Northern Ireland.

    Participants can express their ideas through posters, poems, essays, songs, designs - the more creative, the better!

    Exciting prizes await the top entries in each age category including a classroom visit from The Science Room and £25 book voucher for the winning pupil of each category.
