This role sits in our Digital Solution Centre and offers the opportunity to work on projects across all sectors of our business with clients in both the Public and Private Sector that have a direct positive impact on UK citizens’ lives. You’ll bring together knowledge and information from a range of sources to address complex business issues, and utilise your proven record of designing and developing software in line with quality standards.
We are looking for passion and experience of front-end development /UX design with a strong core backend development background in Java/Spring. We’re looking for someone to lead, develop and deliver Angular web application components for our high-profile clients. You must be able to work collaboratively to meet customer and business goals from concept to finished product. Ideally, you will have worked in Agile as part of an efficient and multi-disciplined delivery team and be able to design both short-term tests, learn prototypes and scale up to robust long-term solutions.
Key Tasks:
• Design and develop software
• Produce and execute unit tests
• Carry out peer reviews and provide constructive feedback
• Understand and deploy a range of methodologies/frameworks
You should also be able to demonstrate experience in a mix of the following;
• Java 8 or above / EE
• Hibernate / JPA (or other ORM framework)
• Fuse integration
• Integration using REST APIs
• Web Services (eg SOAP or JSON)
• XML/XSD data design
• Strong leadership / mentoring experience
• JBOSS Developer Studio or similar (eg IntelliJ) would be useful but not essential
