Graduate Support Engineer

    At Puppet you’ll be part of a team committed to exceptional service and the success of our customers.  We’re looking to develop customer-focused Applications Support Engineers.

    You will receive DevOps and Puppet training and work as part of a global team to support customers from small independents to large enterprise organizations.  The role welcomes you bringing a fresh perspective, learning, solving and preventing problems.

    As a Graduate Support Engineer at Puppet, you will learn to:

    • Diagnose and troubleshoot Puppet applications.
    • Document and resolve customer technical problems.
    • Collaborate with engineers and developers.
    • Contribute to knowledge base articles.
    • Complete support project-related assignments.
    • Log defects and feature requests via Jira to Product and Engineering.


    • Technical degree or equivalent experience.
    • Familiar with Unix / Linux Systems.
    • Ability to communicate technical problems and issues succinctly and clearly.
    • Demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot complex technical problems.
    • Interested in software automation and DevOps.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • The availability to participate in an ‘on-call’ rotation.

    Preferred but not required:

    • Familiar with source control systems such as Git.
    • Have knowledge of infrastructure automation solutions.
