Employees based in GB will be employed on a permanent remote working contract.

    Your role in the team

     

    Allstate Investments manages close to $90 Billion of assets across portfolios for three major clients for Allstate to meet their investment objectives. The business model provides the foundation for daily decision-making and portfolio management. Allstate Investments strives to provide sustainable, competitive, risk-adjusted investment returns and investment-related services for the benefit of the Allstate Corporation. The size of the investment group exceeds 300 individuals across a variety of investment disciplines including taxable and tax-exempt fixed income, equities, private and alternative securities and commercial mortgages as well as accounting, finance and technology. Investment performance for our portfolios has consistently provided excess returns for our customers and we attribute that success in large part to the quality of our people.     • Working closely with multiple teams/organizations spanning the Investments Technology and Business areas, as well as external data vendors, to develop, support and continuously improve processes for moving data in and out of the Data Hub (Eagle Investment Systems – vendor product)
    • Supporting and monitoring the inbound, outbound and event packages in the Eagle application.
    • Maintaining existing platforms and creating new business solutions from inception to fully developed products.
    • Understanding and converting business requirements into tactical functional solutions.
    • Evaluating data issues through sound analysis and making recommendations for resolution.
    • Working closely with internal teams as well as Eagle Investment Systems resources to evaluate data issues through sound analysis and make recommendations for resolution.
    • Participates in technical on-call services as part of a rota
    • You will be provided in-depth training in the Eagle Investment Systems (PACE) – vendor product through Virtual training program.
    • Possibility to work US Central Standard Time on occasion

     

     

     

     

    So, what are the essential criteria to apply?

     

     

    • All candidates must evidence an existing right to work in the UK
    • Third level degree qualification in computer science, mathematics, or equivalent.
    • 4+years’ experience with PL/SQL
    • 4+years’ experience in Application support
    • Demonstrated analytic agility and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability and desire to learn new languages and technologies.
    • Strong attention to detail.
    • Solid written and oral communication skills.

     

     

     

    We also have some desirable criteria

     

     

    • Experience or knowledge with ETL techniques and tools (example - Informatica), Data Warehousing and Data Modelling.
    • Experience with Eagle Investment Systems (PACE) beneficial although not required as training is available.
    • Works well with others, strong written and verbal communication, comfortable with varying (and reactive) daily responsibilities.
    • Ability to work independently, inquisitive nature, and ownership mentality.
    • Break down business problems into solvable components to recommend solutions.
