    Your role in the team

     

    This position is for a Test Team Manager to lead a team of 10+ Test Engineers to deliver software products across the Consumer platforms of Direct Sales Services & Marketing Technology.   for our new generation platform for insurance product management.

     

    Your role through a combination of technical knowledge and leadership skills will be to ensure quality is built in for all capabilities in the new platform so that it is seamless, on demand, automated and invisible.

    The ideal person will have working knowledge of test automation in complex and large environments, be passionate about delivering quality products and confident in working with technical leaders, developers and architects as well as demonstrating and valuing emergent leadership. 

     

    • Work within various agile methodologies and be an advocate for those methodologies to deliver software testing services to meet project/product objectives
    • Lead, manage and develop global organization team members across all locations
    • Manage work intake and ensure available capacity to deliver testing services
    • Ensure team utilization of industry test techniques, tools, and methodology to provide ‘Best in Class’ testing services (e.g. automation opportunities)
    • Establish/support best practices and identify process improvements for optimal agile testing practices and automation implementation
    • Create an environment to continuously build domain expertise across the organization to achieve quality goals and resource portability
    • Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work effectively with staff and leaders at all levels

     

     

    So, what are the essential criteria to apply?

     

    • All candidates must be able to demonstrate their right to work in the UK
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a hands-on technical role within an IT development and/or test team
    • 1+ years’ people or technical leadership or equivalent experience leading a team 
    • Experienced with test management, automation and CI/CD concepts and tools, e.g. Selenium, Java, Automation frameworks, VersionOne, Jenkins, GitHub
    • Demonstrable experience of Agile processes
    • Experienced in utilizing industry best practices for software testing, experience in Waterfall and Agile methodologies, dedicated to increasing automation capabilities for project/product deliveries 

     

     

    We also have some desirable criteria

     

    • Demonstrable experience in establishing and implementing automated testing capabilities
    • The ability to develop and enhance the capabilities of team members and drive performance
