    Your role in the team


    The Agent Online Presence (AOP) Team is an Agile Scrum Team within DSS&MT (formally Consumer Technology) charged with delivering new functions, product ownership and innovation to our Agent Online Presence product. As an AOP developer you will be involved in all aspects of product delivery including development in .Net and Internet technologies maintaining and enhancing the product in a well-established Agile delivery environment. Some of the current functions include Agent Assignment Service, Agent Websites, Agent Locator, Inbound Messaging and Identity Targeting Service.

     

    AOP is seeking a highly motivated individual to perform the following activities:

    • Engage with business & technology stakeholders.
    • Provide agile estimates.
    • Provide technical documentation (Acceptance Criteria, Story Tasking etc.)
    • Develop code for internet facing web applications and backend services, C#.NET, JQuery, CSS and HTML5
    • Troubleshoot and debug technical issues in a variety of application environments
    • Create/Write processes for adoption across the team

     

     

    So, what are the essential criteria to apply?

     

    • All candidates must evidence an existing right to work in the UK
    • Minimum 4 years IT experience developing experience, 2 of which should be in C# or Java.
    • Willingness to learn and quickly adopt new technology

     

     

     

    We also have some desirable criteria

     

    • Working experience with standards-based web programming, cross browser development, scripting languages and environments
    • Exposure to GitHub and CICD software delivery methodologies.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills
    • Able to work independently and manage own workload
    • Able to troubleshoot and diagnose application and environmental issues.
    • Knowledge and experience of Alliance policy processing
    • Proven track record of innovation.
    • Relational database experience including SQL/Oracle and stored procedures
