    Allstate operate a very flexible hybrid working model with a blend of remote and office working for NI based employees.  Employees based in GB will be employed on a permanent remote working contract.

    Your role in the team

     

    As a member of Allstate’s Compute Services division, the Configuration Management Consultant will be responsible for driving key deliverables both for strategic initiatives and operational support activities for the Enterprise Configuration Management team.   

     

    Reporting to the Senior Delivery lead, the Consultant will ensure the implementation of pragmatic and best practice solutions on process and data to enable optimized execution of the Configuration Management delivery plan. The consultant will work across multiple workstreams to collaborate on the ServiceNow Configuration Management Database (CMDB) operational activities and integrations. 

     

    This is a fantastic opportunity to fulfil a key, hands-on technical role in a global team using industry-leading technologies to enable strategic solutions such as Event Management toward achieving Artificial Intelligence Operations. The deliverables of the team have visibility to the top of the organization and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to make an impact that is Enterprise wide. 

     

    • Contribute to the organization’s analytic capabilities
    • Develop and apply data driven insights to identify opportunities to improve quality
    • Drive strategy through design and implementation of Configuration Management processes
    • Develop and apply data driven insights to identify opportunities to improve quality through data, process, policy, training or technical changes to systems.
    • Use process and data analysis from multiple sources to develop and measure KPIs that improves the health of the CMDB and promotes value to consumers and stakeholders.
    • Day to day analysis of multiple complex data sets using different analytical methods
    • Use process and data analysis from multiple sources to develop and measure KPIs that improves the health of the CMDB
    • Proactively drive continuous improvement 
    • Participate on the appropriate IT Service Management process boards and steering groups and builds relationships with key stakeholders. 

     

     

     

    So, what are the essential criteria to apply?

     

    • All candidates must be able to demonstrate their right to work in the UK
    • Minimum of 5 years’ IT industry experience. 
    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience of applied Configuration Management concepts, governance and practices. 
    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience of process and data analysis preferably in a technical environment. 

     

     

     

    We also have some desirable criteria

     

    • Experience of Service Management processes, in particular Configuration Management, preferably using ServiceNow
    • Advanced excel skills 
    • Strong interpersonal skills; effectively influence others to gain alignment on project decisions. 
    • Ability to establish, manage and leverage relationships with internal and external partners. 
    • Strong time management skills
    • Operate independently and effectively in a team-based environment
    • Be a creative problem solver, with an aptitude to think strategically, as well as create compelling visualizations to support communication with stakeholders in driving decision making.
    • Strong time management skills including ability to organize multiple projects and competing priorities. 
    • ITIL and Service Management process experience 
    • Experience of server platforms (Linux or Windows) 
    • Network infrastructure knowledge 
    • Six Sigma Green belt or higher. 
    • Knowledge of SACM portfolio of tools.
