Your role in the team
We are delighted to be offering this exciting opportunity to join a team helping envisage and deliver a greatly enhanced developer experience to software engineers right across our company. The goal of the program is to truly modernize the developer experience bringing together multiple capabilities and placing them at the engineer’s fingertips by providing a single fully integrated developer environment. Targeted benefits include:
This vision will be achieved by leveraging state of art technologies (AI, ML, etc.) in automating/integrating work processes, smart systems, enterprise standards, health checks and legal compliances. The result will be totally secure, highly scalable and administered, monitored and deployed onto Allstate’s managed hosting platform.
Successful candidates will have responsibility for devising and building custom plug-in components for Allstate’s preferred IDEs. Software Development will focus on XP practices with paired programming and Test-Driven development a core part of daily activities. Responsibilities will be across the full-stack including the creation of micro front-end components communicating with multiple back end APIs built to 12-factor design principle standards. This is a truly unique opportunity for a driven individual to help create a cutting-edge modern experience to the entire engineering community within the company.
