Need to have

Excellent academic qualifications and communication skills, written and verbal

A computer science or software engineering related degree, 2.1 or higher

A keen eye for detail and quality which should be reflected in your outputs

An ability to program and solve basic programming challenges in Java (or similar high level programming language)

A deep curiosity about programming and software in general

Eligible to live and work in the UK

Evidence of contribution to a personal or open source project

Great interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team

An understanding of developer tooling (IntelliJ, Git, etc), testing and clean code
