Product Analytics Manager

We are looking for a talented, dynamic, inquisitive,and technically skilled product orientated individual to help us grow our expertise in our Data Science & Analytics team. 

    The Product Analytics Manager will be integral to our Belfast based Data Practice and you will help the team build things right and build the right things. The role will also support our Data Scientists in creating AI/ML solutions to organizational challenges inc. onboarding, claims, persistency, etc.

    Role Context 

    The Product Analytics Manager will strongly influence decisions regarding prioritization and understand the importance of data and analytics in driving modern product solutions. You’ll need to be able to influence and engage with a range of stakeholders from executives to engineers and be able to communicate aspects of the product and technologies used to different audiences in a language that they can understand. 

    The successful candidate will join an innovative team of Data Scientists, whose mission is to research & create AI and data-driven products. You’ll take a methodical approach to understanding our user base and work with stakeholders to refine the requests into this team. 

    Working with multiple product teams, you will also understand a diverse range of goals and requirements, to create analytics solutions which truly inform our roadmaps.  

    What you’ll be doing  
    • Influencing and being vocal about product prioritization and development of the Data Science & Analytics roadmap, helping to set a vision that excites and inspires while being prepared to have difficult conversations when necessary.
    • Taking technical team,customer and business stakeholder needs and turning them into a refined backlog with the assistance of the Data Science & Analytics Lead 
    • Connecting our Data Science team to our wider Product teams & roadmaps 
    • Bring alignment to Business value with deeper domain expertise to prioritise intake into the Data Science & Analytics team 
    • Leading Product Analytics within the Data Practice with the instrumentation of our products with multiple data sources to support product strategy decisions 
    • Work closely with the Product Team to determine key points in our key experiences that delight or frustrate our users and help drive a plan of measurement 
    • Help build a better data and reporting environment for all analysts, power users and general users 
    • Present and evangelize data and insights across the organization, including regular interaction with team leads and the Executive Team 

    What you should have

    Essential

    • Commercial experience, including previous experience in a technical role, as a Product Owner, Analytics Manager or Solution Architect for data or AI -powered products 
    • Have a passion for all things data, understanding the value of data as an asset and how to unlock value from data 
    • The role should recommend & connect/overlay disparate data sources for decision making  
    • Proven experience in data discovery & acquisition as well as adhering to levels of data quality 
    • Prior experience with business analysis and/or data analytics, creating system & product metrics, dashboards and insights 
    • Very strong statistical skills and the ability to apply them to create business recommendations 
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with both technical & non-technical audiences 
    • Understands the big picture but can drill down into the detail when required taking technical component and feature ownership and creating a clear vision to implementation 
    • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a technical, Computing, Design or engineering discipline or with comparable commercial experience
    Desirable Criteria 
    • Experience working directly with Data Scientists 
    • Experience with solutions involving AI & ML models 
    • Knowledge of SQL or Python 
    • Experience with different types of Agile project delivery (Scrum or Kanban)
