    Your role in the team

     

    The Web Content Management Evolution (WCME) team partners with Marketing/eBusiness and other departments to deliver innovative technology solutions focused on digital marketing programs, and marketing tools for customer and internal web sites. Additionally, WCME provides consulting expertise to guide overall prioritization and drive scheduling of marketing technology initiatives and maintains the overall project portfolio and content elements for Sitecore Web Content Management based solutions.

     

    As a Product Manager in the WCME Team you will be helping us define, delivery and manage the lifecycle of WCME and Sitecore Web Content Management software hosting allstate.com, allstatecorporation.com, and affiliate websites. This new suite of technology is in need or processes, procedures, and common re-usable components to accelerate delivery of websites on behalf of our Marketing Partners and internal teams looking to leveraging best practices from the industry and our vendors. You will be responsible for leading the WCME team to keep our sites responsive, error free, available, and secure. We are looking for someone with solid web experience.

     

    • Contribute towards creating the WMCE product strategy for the products in our growing digital product portfolio
    • Use industry best practices, customer feedback, detailed market analysis, and data gathering to provide recommendations on decisions about product strategy
    • Define and manage metrics to measure the success of your efforts and to inform the overall product strategy.
    • Represent the “voice of the customer”; invest significant time with current and potential customers to understand their needs and habits.
    • Engage in discovery/test & learn activities to quickly validate assumptions and product direction.
    • Provide input on decomposing complex problems into smaller manageable tasks by creating and prioritizing a backlog for the Product Team.
    • Assist with managing the product backlog, contribute towards creating an effective vision and provide timely stakeholder feedback on development iterations.
    • Partner with architecture and developers to generate designs leading to highly available and easy to maintain code
    • Create and update technical documentations using high level technical specification documents
    • Create Technical Agile stories to address new functionality requests
    • Work with Marketing and other teams to ensure appropriate conditions for success are identified
    • Be able to coordinate and work with offshore resources for application development
    • Understanding integration of applications with internal and external systems
    • Work with vendors to improve performance, security, and availability

     

    So, what are the essential criteria to apply?

     

    • All candidates must evidence an existing right to work in the UK
    • At minimum 4 years’ recent experience in a Product Owner / Manager OR Business/System Analyst OR Technical Leadership role 

     

    The ideal candidate must also demonstrate competency in:

     

    • Ability to proactively anticipate problems and seek opportunities
    • Ability to contribute towards data-driven decision making on complex and innovative concepts
    • Entrepreneurial with a strong inclination towards action, preferably with experience delivering software
    • Experience operating in an environment driven by KPIs where you had the accountability to determine the best course of action to meet your goals
    • Experience working in a fast-paced environment

     

     

    We also have some desirable criteria

     

    • Previous Product Owner/Manager experience is preferrable
