Commenting on the appointment. Shea O’Hagan, Founder of Pitchbooking said: Paul brings a wealth of experience and insight to the Pitchbooking team, and understands deeply what we are trying to achieve as a company. His contribution to our business will be extremely valuable as we continue our journey to provide modern, accessible software to the sporting community.”
Paul Thorogood MBE also added: “I know that a significant barrier to participation is the difficulties experienced in being able to book facilities – especially outdoor facilities; the inability for each team player to pay their share directly is a particular aggravation and burden to the booker, who has to recoup his / her outlay from other participants. Errors and booking failures also accrue through sports centre managers having to manage bookings manually via phone or email. I was excited to see that Pitchbooking resolves all of this. It is a sophisticated, modern SaaS capability that – among many other things - simplifies access to facilities, allows users to pay individually and radically simplifies administration for both the user and the sports centre manager.”
