Pinnacle acquires K3 Sage business

  • Pinnacle, one of the largest resellers of Sage software in the UK and Ireland, has completed the acquisition of K3 Business Technology Group's Sage business, K3 FDS.

    K3, which is listed on the London Stock Exchange, provides mission-critical software and cloud solutions.

    Pinnacle has a presence throughout the UK and Ireland with offices in Belfast, Birmingham, Dublin, Maidstone, Newcastle, and Glasgow, and has a staff of over 170 people.

    It provides consultancy, training, support, and proactive account management to a customer base of over 1,800 businesses. Its core market focus includes manufacturing, distribution, and business service sectors.

    Commenting on the acquisition, James Spencer, Managing Director of Pinnacle said:“The Sage business will transition very smoothly into our operations, benefiting from our scale and depth of focus.”

    Chairman and founder of Pinnacle, Ken Montgomery also added: “This latest acquisition consolidates the position of Pinnacle as a leading provider of ERP software and services in the UK and Ireland.We are also pleased to add a significant number of highly skilled and experienced personnel to the Pinnacle team to further enhance the level of service to a large number of Pinnacle customers.”

    The acquisition is the latest stage of expansion by Pinnacle. Earlier this year Pinnacle acquired the Sage and IT Services business of TMS Scotland, based near Falkirk, strengthening its operations in Scotland.

    The company is a seven times winner of the Sage 200 Partner of the Year award, and four times winner of the Sage Platinum Elite, a global program designed by Sage to reward and recognise the outstanding performance of top partners.
