NI digital transformation firm Xperience acquires Green Duck

  • Northern Irish digital transformation specialist, Xperience has announced its acquisition of Green Duck, an English company providing Cloud, Cyber Security and Managed IT Solutions to a range of sectors including financial and professional services, construction and engineering and legal services. 

    Significantly, the purchase of Green Duck marks the beginning of an aggressive organic and acquisition-centred growth strategy, with the company revealing there are more to come. 

    This strategic deal builds on Xperience’s growing network in Lisburn, Peterborough and Glasgow and strengthens its presence in the East of England, with Green Duck’s based in Bury St Edmunds.

    The acquisition combines two businesses with a common focus on delivering the best Digital Transformation solutions for companies across the UK. It also delivers synergies to the two businesses adding additional resources and experience to their collective client bases. 

    Xperience’s headcount will grow to 123 with an annual turnover of approximately £16 million, serving more than 1100 clients, typically in the range of 10-100 users across the UK & Ireland. Green Duck Limited will adopt and trade under the Xperience brand. 

    This acquisition continues Xperience’s growth and follows a £1.5 million investment in Lisburn, Northern Ireland creating an extra 16 jobs.

    Xperience already specialises in digital, cloud, cyber security, and managed IT as well as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and customer relationship management (CRM) software but said that the acquisition of Green Duck Ltd would enhance its cloud and cyber security offerings. 

    Iain O’Kane, Managing Director, at Xperience, commented on the acquisition stating: “With today’s acquisition of Green Duck, we have added additional expertise to our existing cloud, cyber security and managed IT services, providing our clients with mobile and agile working, strengthened data security, while putting data at the centre of their businesses. With the advent of hybrid working and the ever-changing cyber threat landscape, the acquisition of Green Duck provides Xperience with the opportunity to expand significantly in this area.”

It is a great opportunity to provide our clients with a wider portfolio of solutions from a single supplier with a proven track record.”
