Irish company LegFit announce acquisition of GoFyt

  • LegitFit, an Irish fitness software company, today announced its acquisition of GoFyt, the UK-based fitness marketplace company.

    LegFit officially announced their acquisition of GoFyt 2 weeks before presenting at Techstars demo day in the US.

    LegitFit says its platform empowers fitness entrepreneurs to succeed by automating their workflows, reducing cancellations and maximising their customers’ experience. The company believes that those who help people achieve their health and fitness goals deserve to be empowered to manage less, and earn more.

    Since launching in 2019 the founders (2 ex-personal trainers and 1 software engineer) have grown the business and they’re now backed by Enterprise Ireland and Techstars.

    Speaking on the recent developments,  Ryan O’ Neill, Co-founder and CEO of LegitFit said: “The acquisition of GoFyt fits into LegitFit’s strategy of moving further into the UK market and also in its long-term vision of “Connecting the Fitness Industry”.

    Current GoFyt customers will gain access to more features and tools. LegitFit’s customers will also benefit in time with further enhancements to be launched on the platform over the coming 12 months.

    GoFyt founder Andrew McCraken said: “At GoFyt we are developing and building a one stop shop health and fitness marketplace”.

    Mr.McCraken also added that: “Both GoFyt and LegitFit complement each other in outlook, vision and energy, it made sense to join them and help them further their efforts.”
