HealthTech firm HighRoads wins top prize at Digital DNA Awards 2021

  • Over 1,000 people worldwide tuned in to watch Digital DNA’s sixth annual awards ceremony online on Thursday, with Belfast HealthTech, HighRoads winning Overall Company of the Year.

Around 30 people attended in-person at Belfast's Ormeau Baths for Digital DNA's first ever ‘hybrid’ awards, which aim to recognise and celebrate the best technology talent across Northern Ireland.

Massachusetts based HighRoads won the top prize of the night. The health plan technology firm opened a software engineering centre of excellence in NI’s capital two years ago.

Its broad platform solution, P2 Advance is said to boost the capabilities of its pharma and healthcare customers, which include CVS Health, Blue Cross Blue Shield Plans and CVS Health.

HighRoads' site lead in Belfast, Dr Jonathan Sinclair said, “We were absolutely stunned to have won this award, we had already been celebrating several weeks ago having been shortlisted for four categories with such a competitive and innovative digital community in Northern Ireland.

"This award celebrates and recognises the team at HighRoads globally who, like so many other companies and teams, have worked hard in a difficult year of workplace challenges.”

Version 1 received the Best Large Tech Company prize, which follows the recent announcement of its acquisition of digital services business, Neueda, who also won the award back in 2018.

Last month, the multinational IT services provider revealed plans to invest more than £1m in its Belfast operations and create 180 new jobs.
