PowerOn Technologies, trading as The Electric Storage Company has raised over £1m in its latest funding investment round, which the firm said will help its plans to "democratise, digitise, decarbonise and decentralise the energy market".
Action Renewables Energy Trading led the investment round, which also included Innovate UK and a number of private investors.
The Electric Storage Company’s business model is based on moving customers towards cheaper, smarter, greener energy and recognising the collective power of consumers. It is based on a smart analytical platform (PARIS), which allows consumers to make the best choices on how to use their green energy.
Anne Marie McGoldrick, Director & Co- Founder of The Electric Storage Company said that the investment will help bring PARIS to commercial and domestic customers in Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland.
The Electric Storage recently presented at the BelTech 2021 virtual event, and talked about how they very quickly turned around an idea from an industry expert, to help disrupt the electricity usage industry right in the middle of the pandemic.

"Challenges are big enough with getting a new product out there, never mind having a Covid pandemic thrown on top of you, while running a team which has never actually met before," said Columb Duffy, one of BelTech's curators this year, who sang The Electric Storage Company's praise on Sync NI's Tech Craic podcast.
