Lisburn-based OKTO Technologies is partnering with tech giant, Samsung for ‘The Wall’ – its latest home entertainment innovation.
OKTO will become Samsung’s first official supplier and integrator of The Wall, which the global electronics company says is the world’s largest bespoke screen, measuring up to 292 inches.
It uses microLED technology to provide a home cinema experience, and is aimed at the high-end consumer market, with estimates that it will cost over $100,000.
The company recently started selling commercial and residential "Luxury" versions of The Wall and they too cost hundreds of thousands of dollars installed.

The TV is also made to never turn off. Instead, it will "change into a digital canvas best matching the owner's interior needs and personal mood", showing art and other content when it is not being used.
MicroLED is an emerging flat-panel display technology, which Samsung claims gives The Wall “unprecedented quality in terms of picture, colour and definition.”
Tech site CNet said that "it delivers perfect black levels and high brightness because it uses millions of tiny LEDs to create the image directly, for picture quality that's potentially better than OLED without the possibility of burn-in."
OKTO specialises in developing and installing what it calls ‘Smart Building Technologies’ in global residential properties, luxury hotels and commercial office spaces.

The company is currently working on four major contracts within London’s West End, worth more than £15m.
Kris Hogg, Samsung’s European business manager for luxury living said: “Samsung’s goal with The Wall was to create a product unlike anything else – matching the lifestyle and taste of those looking for the most exclusive visual experiences in their homes.
“However, integrating such leading-edge technology in multi-million-pound properties also demands specialism and expertise. OKTO’s uncompromising attention to detail, highly qualified team, and industry leading systems meant secured its inclusion in our specialist dealer network.”
With OKTO due to install the first Samsung Walls this summer, managing director Philip Dowds added: “As soon as travel restrictions are eased, we will be showcasing The Wall at Samsung’s exclusive demonstration apartment in Monaco and we plan to build on the relationship by visiting their head office in Korea."
