Amazon opens another Dublin office as part of its 1,000 job expansion plans

  • Global tech and retail giant Amazon has signed a lease on a new Dublin-based office as part of its current hiring round of 1,000 staff.

Amazon currently employs around 1,400 people in Dublin across a variety of tech disciplines, from software development staff and network engineers to cloud computing specialists. The company announced plans to hire 1,000 additional staff over two years back in June 2018, and recent expansion has helped it stay on track to hit that target.

The company has now signed a lease on a new 170,000 sq ft office in Dublin's Charlemont Square, adding the extra capacity to continue hiring at a rapid pace. The new office was planned as early as last year and an offer put in back in March, but the lease was only officially signed this month.

The new office will help support Amazon Web Services in Ireland, with roles including software and network engineers, cloud computing specialists, solutions architects, data centre experts, and support staff. New job roles will be listed on the Amazon Jobs page for Ireland as they become available.
