  • Lisburn-based smart building tech company OKTO Technologies has opened a new London office to support its recent £10.5m in London smart home contracts.

The UK market for smart buildings and super-prime residential developments has been growing in recent years, particularly in areas of London that are home to some of the country's wealthiest business leaders. Last month saw good news for local smart building provider OKTO Technologies as they won four contracts worth £10.5m to develop bespoke smart building solutions for upcoming super-prime residential developments in London's West End.

The company has now announced that it's launching a London office to administer its new contracts in the city. The new office is located on Buckingham Palace Road and will provide local support for the new developments which include The Peninsula Hotel & Residences and Mayfair Park Residences.

OKTO owner Philip Dowds commented on the new office: "This is a strategic move in response to increasing demand for our services and, as we have a large client base in London, it was the logical decision to base ourselves in the area and increase our footprint. Our new office also allows us to tap into the tremendous talent in the region, scale our business and further enhance our core service offering - which is totally customer-focused."

The local company now plans to expand even further, with ambitious goals for the next six years that will see it cement its position in the London market.
