Obbi Solutions secures major contract for staff management system

  • Software solution firm Obbi Solutions has signed a deal with NI's Decora Blind Systems Ltd for its cloud-based management system.

Accidents at work are on the rise, costing businesses money each year and presenting uncertain risks that can be difficult to quantify and manage. Companies must meet certain health and safety training standards, provide appropriate training and I diction for staff, and maintain those standards when making business decisions. For companies with hundreds of employees, managing processes and risks can become extremely expensive.

Obbi Solutions' cloud based solution to manage staff and the associated risks was designed goal to cut paperwork and administration time, increase staff retention, boost overall productivity, and create a safer work environments. By automating many management tasks, the system produces savings within large companies.

Obbi has now signed a deal to supply its system to the over 1,000 staff at Northern Ireland manufacturer Decora Blind Systems Ltd. Barry Hughes, Training and Development Manager at Decora Blind Systems Ltd, explained the benefit of the new deal:

“Obbi has transformed our processes, slashing the time required for our induction by over 60 per cent and opened up our staff to a new way of thinking. We began with a simple task of replicating our internal processes digitally, but what Obbi has actually achieved is to allow our staff to spot potential time savings in their daily jobs and has empowered them to re-examine their processes and make implementable suggestions that will save the company considerable time and money."

"Once we saw our key processes optimised through the Obbi system our eyes were opened to a new and easier way of doing things. For example, our old induction process used to take from 9.00am to 1:00pm and had to be carried out by management. Now the process is so simple that it can be delegated to multiple team members, delivered by 10.30am, simplifying and streamlining the administration of the induction process."
