The company produces precision 3D prints from medical data to assist surgeons with pre-operative planning and assessment of treatment options on an individual basis. The firm was a big hit at this month's South by Southwest (SXSW) conference when it gave a talk on how
a 3D printed kidney model helped a Belfast surgeon perform a world-first life-saving transplant.
Now the firm can add the Startup World Cup to its list of accomplishments after it beat 12 other emerging tech companies in Belfast to take the top spot. In addition to a token prize of £2,500, the firm will now advance to the global stage of the Startup World Cup in San Francisco this May to compete against other regional winners from around the world, including India, Russia, UAE, USA, and China. The overall winner will net a $1m US investment from VC firm Fenox Capital.
