Medmark, Ireland’s largest and most established occupational healthcare provider, today announced its entrance into the Northern Irish market with the acquisition of Blackwell Associates, one of the region’s leading occupational health firms.
The deal brings together two long-standing leaders in the sector to create Ireland’s largest all-island occupational health provider, with a combined turnover of more than €20 million and over 160 employees. Today’s announcement also marks the opening of Medmark’s new purpose-built clinic in Dublin City Centre, increasing the number of Medmark offices island wide from seven to nine.
Founded in 1987, Medmark delivers workplace medical assessments, employee wellbeing services and specialist clinical support to public and private sector organisations, assisting over half a million employees nationwide. As part of Medmark, the Blackwell Associates team will continue to provide occupational health, medical screening and workplace assessment services to those based in Northern Ireland.
