Deadline for entries to The Northern Ireland Social Media Awards is running out, with entries closing at midnight on Monday 19 August.
The highly anticipated awards honours and recognises freelancers, individuals, teams, agencies and businesses delivering social media marketing and demonstrating excellence in their work.
This year’s theme is “This Is Me,” celebrating our true selves and identities. A representative explains: "It honours those who demonstrate resilience in the face of adversity on social media, standing up to trolls and negativity. The theme underscores the importance of authenticity and strength, recognising the power of embracing who we truly are while navigating the challenges of the digital world."
Award categories include: Best Use of Social Media; Social Media Person / Team; Best Social Media Campaign; Influencer / Content Creator (through Belfast Live public nominations only); Best Use of Social Media Channel; and Overall Social Media Excellence.
Two new exciting categories have just been added, with Best Low Budget Campaign open to those who have been given a budget of under £5K, and delivered a successful campaign through 'hard work and dedication.' Meanwhile, Best Use of Social Media in Media / Broadcast Media is open to those working in the field, 'whether you’ve thought outside the broadcasting box and delivered an exceptional campaign, showcased strategic insight, or increased your engagement.'
The awards are judged by an independent awards jury, made up of leaders in the social media marketing industry throughout the world.
The winners will be announced at a glittering awards dinner at the Europa Hotel, Belfast on Saturday 5 October, hosted by leading social media personality Annette Kelly – Little Penny Thoughts and Q Radio Host Gerry Lavs.
