What does your typical day look like?
A typical day starts with a morning stand up where I can demonstrate progress and address issues from the previous day. Then I’d usually get a coffee on. The rest of the day involves working with the client and peers, coding and pushing code at the end of the day.
What are you currently working on?
I’m working on a project for a charity which involves front end (HTML, CSS, JS) and backend Java. A big part of this project was to ensure our work met accessibility requirements, so I have regular calls with the client to make sure that what we’ve developed is in line with what the client had in mind.
What inspired you to join this company in particular?
PA isn’t a traditional consulting firm. It’s an innovation and transformation consultancy which was attractive to me because of the exposure I’d get to a wide range of technologies and its breadth of clients and projects.
Did you always want to work in this industry (tech)?
Ever since I was young on my original Windows 98 machine, I knew that the technology industry was for me.

Making a difference to real people and building a positive human future in a technology-driven world
What would you say to other people considering a job in this industry (tech)?
There are never-ending opportunities; you just need to go for it!
How do you see this technology impacting on our lives?
Technology makes a big impact and changes the way we work for the better. Things that used to take months can be achieved in minutes with technology.
Who inspired you to work in this field?
Just being around technology inspired me.
What do you consider to be the most important tech innovation or development in recent years?
Electric vehicles which are helping reduce pollution is an import technology innovation in recent years. As part of a hackathon, pre-Covid, I developed an electric car parking finder app using open data.
What tech gadget could you not live without?
My phone
