Name: Rozy Corry
Role: CEO, Replify
What does your typical day look like?
My role at Replify is quite varied so I can be doing anything from having a commercial discussion with a prospective customer to testing the product or writing a blog.
What are you currently working on?
We are currently working with a number of vendors in the SD-WAN market so we are helping them integrate Replify into their product offering. I am also working on some company marketing material and am always looking for new customers and resellers!
What inspired you to join this company in particular?
The fact that it was small, had interesting technology and a good team.
Did you always want to work in this industry (tech)?
Yes – I actually wanted to be a games tester when I was a teenager! Plus I was forever taking things apart and putting them back together – I think my Mum and Dad despaired sometimes!
What’s your favourite part about your work?
The variety – no two days are the same (I get bored easily!)
What would you say to other people considering a job in this industry (tech)?
There is a wide variety of jobs in the technology sector, a lot of which are well paid, interesting and can lead to other things. I started off my career testing telecom equipment, then moved to Product Management and then CEO but there are many other paths and options for anyone interested.
How do you see this technology impacting on our lives?
Well just look back even 10 years and the technology advancements, I think it will always be evolving and changing and I want to be part of that.
At Replify we have a software product that makes a network connection faster and use less data so its great for internet links that are poor or are over satellite connections.
Who inspired you to work in this field?
I was always interested in technology from a very young age. I had a BBCB computer as a teenager and that was me hooked from then onwards so wasn’t a who but rather a what!
What do you consider to be the most important tech innovation or development in recent years?
The internet!
What tech gadget could you not live without?
Definitely my phone! We joke in the office that we all use our phones for everything apart from ringing anyone!!
