This evening - Thursday 12th May - the
Internet of Things Alliance Network will host its inaugural Belfast event at the Northern Ireland Science Park’s Innovation Centre. The Network aims to create the environment needed for the rapid development and adoption of IoT technologies by bringing together those that participate in creating and deploying IoT.
Mark Maguire, Fujitsu’s Chief Technology Officer in Northern Ireland, will be sharing his thoughts with attendees at tomorrow’s event. The Internet of Things massively expands the quantity and quality of real-time information available from a diverse range of devices in the public and private realm. By talking to each other as well as central systems, these devices can trigger a radical change in the way companies can manage assets, networks and customer experience. Yet, with more data in the air, challenges like security become a greater issue and with it, the risk of losing consumer trust.
