Allstate NI recognised at inaugural Investors in People Awards
Belfast business, Allstate NI, has been named as a top organisation for people management practice in the UK, having won the Excellence in Work Life Balance Award in the first Investors in People Awards.
The Awards, which received over 500 entries from all over the UK and different sectors, celebrated the best people management practices amongst Investors in People accredited businesses.
The Excellence in Work Life Balance category recognises the organisation that demonstrates excellence in work-life balance initiatives and puts the health and wellbeing of its employees at the heart of its HR strategy, resulting in high employee loyalty and productivity levels. Allstate NI was shortlisted alongside DAS UK Group and the Royal College of Nursing, and crowned the overall winner at a ceremony held on 23 June at London’s Landmark Hotel.
On being presented with their Award by Hugh Dennis, Rose Kelly, VP & Chief Administrative Officer at Allstate NI said: “We are absolutely delighted to have won this award. It was a real honour just to be shortlisted alongside such great organisations, but to win is the icing on the cake. It means a lot to be recognised for our good work, and we’re looking forward to continuing to work with Investors in People to improve and grow the business.”
Investors in People Awards judge, Maggie Williams, said: “This was an excellent entry, and of the three, the one that placed the strongest emphasis on work/life balance as its focus. The Energy for Life policy was an excellent example of improving employees’ working life, with benefits for the home as well. They have also taken the idea of ‘wellbeing’ in its broadest form with financial advice, as well as understanding the dynamics and needs of its workforce in supporting parents as much as possible. Allstate NI should be extremely proud of their achievement.”
