Over 500 business people gathered in Belfast’s Waterfront Hall last Thursday to see Northern Ireland’s leading responsible companies be recognised and rewarded for their actions.
Northern Ireland’s largest IT Company, Allstate Northern Ireland, picked up the top award being named as NI Responsible Company of the Year 2014 for their commitment to responsible business practice through their employee, community and environmental initiatives.
As a previous Big Tick award winner, Allstate Northern Ireland was also reaccredited for a further year for their Ways2Work programme which promotes sustainable commuting and business travel.
Rose Kelly, Vice President and Chief Administration Officer, Allstate Northern Ireland said, "Corporate Social Responsibility is engrained in everything we do at Allstate Northern Ireland and is part of our company’s cultural DNA. It’s not just about fundraising but a commitment to responsible business practices, to community involvement – investing our time, talent and resources in the communities where we live and work, and investing resources for long-term sustainable change.”
