  • Allstate's companywide Week of Service ran 10th—15th June, kick-starting Allstate NI's CSR initiative 'Dragon's Den II— Give Back' here previously teams had pitched for their charity projects which they will be carrying out throughout the year. We have 6 volunteer projects running across various Allstate NI locations that employees can donate, volunteer or take part in. During Week of Service all projects held awareness stands with some kick-starting their campaigns with collection drives.

    Agewell—An initiative aims to provide software improvements for a small charity that provides a free, community based telephone support service for older and vulnerable people.

    Allstate School of IT—In September the ANI Belfast training department will be running 3 day classes on .Net, Android and 6 Sigma for employees wishing to broaden their development skills at prices much lower than you will find in the local market. All profits from the running of the courses will go to one of Allstate NI's chosen charities of the year—children's charity, the NSPCC.

    The 'Home Run' Project—The aim of the "Home Run" project is to raise awareness amongst employees as well as the general public, of becoming a regular giving donor to the Simon Community—a well-known charity to help the homeless.

    Pre-Loved Treasures—Working with Carnhill Resource Centre, this initiative aims to create a donation bank of toys, clothes and books for children in the Northland Office to help families that need a little extra help providing for their children.

    One Tin a Month—With the increased necessity for food banks, the ANI PMO Community Group have set up a new scheme across Allstate NI—'One Tin a Month'. Working with St Vincent de Paul and Storehouse in Belfast the initiative aims to provide tinned goods to help families that need the most help in their areas.

    ANI Suicide & Mental Health Awareness Campaign—Suicide doesn't have any boundaries—it can hit us, a member of our family, a friend, a work colleague at any stage of our lives. ANI Suicide & Mental Health Awareness Campaign in association with PIPS will provide half day workshops across Allstate NI to educate all employees on how to LOOK>LISTEN>and LINK so they can protect themselves and others from suicide risk. These workshops will also provide employees with tips on how to look after their own Mental Health in association with PIPS.

    'We really enjoyed taking part in the Week of Service and were overwhelmed by the generosity of Allstate NI employees. I would definitely recommend to anyone who is thinking of volunteering to do this next year to just do it!'
