    Your role in the team

     

    My Account is a Priority 1 customer facing application providing Allstate customers with the ability to log on and service their Allstate policies online. The application has approximately 5 million customer Logins per month.  It is a service orientated application which interacts with multiple other applications to present the customer with their Allstate information.

     

    The MyAccount team is an Agile scrum team, based almost exclusively in ANI, within the Direct Sales Service & Marketing Technology organisation.  The tech stack comprises an Angular web tier and C# app tier.

     

    It is a very exciting time on the MyAccount team.  We are heavily involved in the current Transformative Growth initiative - both integrating with the new product and building new components for the new Digital Account application. As the MyAccount developer you will be working on both Back and Front end development with an opportunity to learn more skills and directly contribute to the online experience of the Allstate customers

     

    Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

     

    • Engage with business & technology stakeholders in ideation & solution creation
    • Provide project estimates
    • Provide technical documentation (Acceptance Criteria, Story Tasking etc)
    • Develop code for internet facing web applications, Angular, C#.NET, CSS and HTML5
    • Create and provide leadership in automated unit and regression testing
    • Troubleshoot and debug technical issues in a variety of application environments
    • Provide Technical leadership and best practice guidance across all platforms
    • Lead a technical Sprint team
    • Create/Write processes for adoption across the team
    • Application development – Proof of Concepts; Development Projects

     

     

     

    So, what are the essential criteria to apply?

     

    • All candidates must evidence an existing right to work in the UK'
    • At minimum 3 years’ Software Development Experience in Object Orientated language including either C# or .Net
    • Developer experience in front end design and implementation
    • Experience of the full SDLC (analysis, design, build, stabilization, deployment) building, designing and maintaining web applications

     

    The successful candidate must also demonstrate competencies in:

     

    • Be a team player and partner with the business, delivery areas and customers
    • Willingness to learn and quickly adopt new technology
    • Proven track record of innovation

     

     

    We also have some desirable criteria

     

    • Development experience in Angular or other responsive technology for example HTML5
    • Restful JSON and Soap web services, Typescript
    • Experience of Github, Grunt, Jenkins
    • Familiarity and Experience in React and/Java
    • Experience in an Agile team using SCRUM methodology
