    Your role in the team

     

    We are looking for positive and passionate people who thrive in fast-paced environments.  As an Integration Service Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, patching, upgrading, and maintaining the various components and technologies associated with Allstate’s key middleware platforms - Tibco, Apigee, Kafka and WebSphere.

     

     

    The Team

     

    The Enterprise Integration and Middleware Platform Engineering team are responsible for the development and support of the Tibco, Apigee, Kafka and WebSphere enterprise platforms.  

     

    Responsibilities include (but are not limited to)

     

    • Creation, design, technical implementation and roll-out of programs
    • Ensure conformance to established system architecture, methods, regulations, standards and practices
    • Change Management activities via, Incident, Service Request or critical emergency support
    • Ensure communications and change management activities support a successful roll-out to end users of the enterprise platform
    • Analyze and solve low to medium technical issues with minimal supervision
    • Work within a team environment while communicating well to a diverse set of colleagues
    • Develop operational processes to provide enhancements to platform capabilities and periodic maintenance activities
    • Improve documentation, templates and processes
    • Involvement with continuity management Disaster Recovery exercises to ensure that the team are fully prepared in the event of a catastrophe
    • Understanding relevance of known problems and resolutions. Make recommendations for improvement

     

    On-call Requirements

     

    • Flexibility required to meet business needs as on-call support is a requirement

     

     

     

    So, what are the essential criteria to apply?

     

    • All candidates must evidence an existing right to work in the UK
    • At minimum 4 years’ experience supporting one or more of the following products:
      • TIBCO BusinessWorks
      • TIBCO EMS
      • Apache Kafka
      • Apigee

     

     

    The successful candidate must also demonstrate competency in:

     

    • Excellent oral and written communication skills

     

    We also have some desirable criteria

     

    • Experience with tools such as DataDog, Jconsole, Splunk, ServiceNow, VersionOne, Ansible, Jenkins, and GitHub
    • Experience working in an Agile environment
    • History of developing automation and/or analytics for enterprise platforms
