Technology Lead Business Analyst

    Client Onboarding & KYC Technology Lead BA (VP)

    Citi is undertaking a reengineering of its KYC and Onboarding platforms within the Institutional Clients Group (ICG).   Within Citi’s Information Services Group (ISG), the organization seeks to leverage the latest technology to build a rules-based platform focusing on automation.  The platform will enable an improved client experience through the reduction in email-based activities and adoption of client facing applications.

     

    The Onboarding & KYC Technology Lead BA acts as a bridge between observed bottlenecks in processes, their technology solutions, and ultimate resolution.  You will be working across a wide and varied group of stakeholders in Technology, Operations, and Business units.

     

    To be successful in this position, you should thrive in working with both operational users and technology development teams. Additionally the organization is seeking to leverage data to drive decisions via the delivery of self-service dashboards, scorecards and reporting as well as directing operational change and process reengineering to drive improvement in KPI’s.

     

    Key Responsibilities:

    Business Analysis/ Transformation Responsibilities:

    • Write / engage in requirements pertaining to workflow and process improvements. 
    • Analyze data to identify and justify book of work prioritization
    • Propose and gain consensus on future state processes with focus on operational efficiencies and the customer experience
    • Conduct interviews and run workshops to shape future state processes
    • Present findings to senior stakeholders via PowerPoint and verbally
    • Oversight/ Mentoring/ training of BA team focused on workflow and process improvements.
    • Champion change management

     

    Data/ Metrics Responsibilities:

    • Lead BA responsible for rationalizing and optimizing operational and business reporting suite
    • Drive reporting strategy to support a mix of self-service, ad hoc, and regular sets of reports
    • Promote a standard suite of reporting across currently disparate Client Onboarding and KYC activities
    • Implement self-service solutions leveraging internal and vendor-based tools including Qlikview / Qlik Sense and Tableau
    • Understand workflows and processes across multiple workflow applications and databases.  Ensure that workflows are designed with metrics and reporting in mind
    • Coordinate with testing teams, metrics team members, and operations groups on testing of reporting

     

    Qualifications:

    • Business analysis experience essential (preferably in Banking/ Capital Markets)
    • Experience in managing book of work
    • Experience in working with IT developers and end users
    • Experience in design and implementation of strategic reporting / metrics solutions
    • Experience in managing Business Intelligence (Qlik/ Tableau/ Celonis) implementations
    • Direct exposure to BPM workflow applications
    • Data modeling familiarity
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills – ability to communicate at all levels 
    • Direct experience with institutional client onboarding and / or KYC is a differentiator

     

    Education:

    Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent (experience more important than degree)
