    Your role in the team

     

    We are a hiring a number of Product Owners in our Voice Application Development organisation.

     

    The Product Owner will play a key role in helping define the roadmap for the evolution of the Voice application technologies used to support customers & agencies.

     

    The Product Owner will focus on defining roadmaps and backlogs as well as contributing on strategic product vision, product discovery to maximize the customer and enterprise value.

     

    The Product Owner is responsible for building key relationships and working closely with key stakeholders and partners, ensuring the successful execution of strategies and achievement of enterprise and Agency goals. The Product Owner is also responsible for actively participating in our personal development culture, including coaching and mentoring staff, stakeholders and peers.

     

    The Product Owner is empowered to take decisions on backlog items and planning decisions.

     

    This role directly supports Allstate’s vision and strategies of transformative growth, Allstate Agency Voice & Enterprise Voice Modernization. 

     

    Responsibilities include:

     

    • Create product backlogs and manage product strategies including EPIC/feature/story creation and prioritization
    • Be recognized as the “voice of the customer”; invest significant time with current and potential customers to understand their needs
    • Use customer feedback, detailed market analysis, and data gathering to make decisions about product strategy
    • Create and manage KPIs and an effective vision with timely stakeholder feedback on iterations
    • Engage in discovery/test & learn activities to quickly validate assumptions and direction
    • Define and manage Agile Scrum metrics to measure the success of your efforts and to inform the overall product strategy
    • Assist with managing the product backlog, contribute towards creating an effective vision and provide timely stakeholder feedback on development iterations.
    • Critically review all requests to determine viability, alternatives, value to the customer. Analyze tradeoffs between usability and technical viability
    • Actively participate in the definition, sizing and estimation of epics, stories and tasks obtaining requirements from stakeholders at all levels and writing epics and stories to detail these requirements
    • Communicating the goals of releases and sprints to the team
    • Coach and mentor members of the team as well as members of the cross-functional development organization on how to collaborate and conduct idea generation, consumer research, test design and execution, measurement, product implementation, customer interactions and roll out
    • Reviewing and accepting work based on story requirements and the definition of done
    • Collaborate with scrum and other teams to deliver high quality releases, and deliver stories to meet the definition of done

     

     

     

     

    So, what are the essential criteria to apply?

     

    • All candidates must evidence an existing right to work in the UK'
    • At minimum 3 - 4 years' relevant experience involving a product owner/manager OR business - related experience OR technical leadership focused role 

     

     

    We also have some desirable criteria

     

    • Previous experience in Voice Technologies
    • Experience working in an agile methodology
