    Your role in the team

     

    Allstate Investments manages close to $65 Billion of assets across portfolios for three major clients for Allstate to meet their investment objectives. The business model provides the foundation for daily decision-making and portfolio management. Allstate Investments strives to provide sustainable, competitive, risk-adjusted investment returns and investment-related services for the benefit of the Allstate Corporation.

     

    The size of the investment group exceeds 300 individuals across a variety of investment disciplines including taxable and tax-exempt fixed income, equities, private and alternative securities, and commercial mortgages as well as accounting, finance and technology. Investment performance for our portfolios has consistently provided excess returns for our customers and we attribute that success in large part to the quality of our people.     The successful candidate will work closely with business professionals within Investments to develop and continuously improve our application infrastructure for monitoring, evaluating, and communicating issues. This is primarily a support role. The key responsibility is to manage the process of monitoring and supporting existing applications, and reporting. There will be opportunity to use new tools such as Data Dog or Splunk depending on the use case.

     

    Responsibilities include (but are not limited to)

     

    • Creating proactive data quality checks and remediating level 1 issues
    • Batch monitoring for items the business teams are currently managing
    • Respond to upstream issues from external vendors
    • Ongoing monitoring of websites and SQL response times
    • Supporting and monitoring the inbound, outbound and process events within internal software programs
    • Evaluating data issues through sound analysis and making recommendations for resolution.
    • Proactive and periodic status update communications with business users

     

     

     

    So, what are the essential criteria to apply?

     

    • All candidates must evidence an existing right to work in the UK'
    • 3+years’ experience with PL/SQL
    • 3+years’ experience in Application Batch support

     

     

    We also have some desirable criteria

     

    • Worked in an Agile environment using Version One.
    • Investment knowledge.
    • Competency in creating/maintaining SSRS or Power BI report
