    Your role in the team

     

    As a Senior Financial Consultant, the successful candidate will be part of a team working closely with the Allstate Investments function in the USA. It is an exciting time to join the Investments Expense FP&A Team, as the team is working to bring in top tier talent to help enhance the model infrastructure and operating model to provide best-in-class support to the business, with exciting long-term career paths in Investments available. The Investments Expense FP&A Team is primarily responsible for providing investment expense reporting and analysis, owning the expense forecast and plan, and consulting with business partners to support investment management business decisions. The team also plays a key role in vendor management, including planning, reporting/analysis, consultation with senior leaders, and more. The team is responsible for accurate expense allocations to Allstate legal entities and analyzing the cost per asset class as well as back-office overhead. The team also oversees the payment of department invoices and ensure that accruals are appropriate.  

     

    The Finance and Planning Senior Consultant is responsible for supporting the day to day activities of the Finance and Planning Team.  They are expected to manage his/her assignments based on prioritization, help to identify issues as circumstances merit, and provide recommendations for process improvement.  In addition, they should have an understanding of economics and financial statement reporting for investments. 

     

     

    Responsibilities include (but are not limited to)

     

    • Financial reporting and meaningful analysis (including variance and trend analysis) to support business decisions
    • Forecasting and planning
    • Consult with business partners to drive optimal business decisions
    • Play a key role in enhancing the reporting and model infrastructure on the team and enhancing the value added by the team to the business
    • Be a peer leader in the organization and assist in developing junior talent

     

     

     

    So, what are the essential criteria to apply?

     

    • All candidates must evidence an existing right to work in the UK'
    • A degree level qualification (or equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Accountancy, or similar discipline,
    • Minimum of 4+ years of financial analysis experience
    • Advanced analytical skills
    • Applicants must be willing and eligible to travel to the USA.

     

    We also have some desirable criteria

     

    • Experience working with data visualization software including PowerBI, Tableau or similar
    • Experience in Organizational Design
    • Experience in Business Process Re-Engineering and leading initiatives to implement same
