    Allstate operate a very flexible hybrid working policy that will allow you to design your working week in collaboration with your manager with a blend of remote and office working for NI based employees as well as condensed working patterns (4 day week/9 day fortnight). Employees based in GB will be employed on a permanent remote working contract.

    Your role in the team

     

    The Enterprise Change and Release Management (ECRM) Manager is a key role in the operations of the Enterprise Change and Release Management team. This individual will have delivery responsibility for the daily operations of the ECRM team, processes, and governance. This individual will also be critical in the implementation of the go forward strategy for Change Management. The successful candidate selects, leads, counsels, motivates, sets expectations, and evaluates medium to large teams. Additionally, they confer with and advise direct reports on administrative policies and procedures, risks, issues, problem resolution, sourcing decisions, budget, and priorities.  This person also assists in defining, implementing, and prioritizing IT policies, procedures, and best practices. The successful candidate impacts team and business results.

     

    It is a fantastic opportunity to play a lead role in a global team enabling strategic solutions across Allstate. The role will involve managing the demands of day-to-day operations, optimizing tools and strategies and looking to the future in relation to how Change and Release Management can best support Allstate’s transformation.

     

     

    Responsibilities include (but are not limited to)

     

    • Builds long-term relationships within team and amongst peers by creating an environment of safety and innovation
    • Models and creates an environment of accountability for direct reports and peers
    • Executes HR-related processes and develops staff through coaching and mentoring and providing specific, timely, open, honest, and constructive performance feedback.
    • Leads employees and influences peers through change by using one’s self as an example.
    • Sets and executes team strategy, including objectives, plans and policies for area of responsibility to develop and deliver innovative solutions and systems in support of Enterprise goals.  Communicates strategy to the team so they understand their role in achieving the established goals.
    • Manages day to day work of employees by monitoring budgets, expenses and scope and facilitating project delivery and support for complex projects of critical importance.
    • Works closely with decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization.  Makes decisions that have an impact on quality or effectiveness of business activities beyond their immediate team.
    • Initiates and implements continuous improvements in all areas of IT responsibility. 
    • Anticipates issues and develops preventive measures.
    • Analyzes long-term impact of new or anticipated strategies and contributes to Allstate business and functional strategy.
    • Influences direct reports, clients, service providers and peers to successfully deliver on business commitments.
    • Partners with others in their organization to set and manage expectations; continually seeks opportunities to be a thought partner and increase internal business partner satisfaction and deepen relationships.
    • Negotiates solutions for issues that may be complex or controversial.
    • Adapts communication approach for audiences at multiple internal and external levels
    • A lead role in the development of new tools/platforms, strategy, operational processes, and governance that will support our team mission
    • Use customer feedback, detailed market analysis, and data gathering to provide recommendations on decisions about strategy and successfully deliver key strategic objectives.
    • Engage, guide and influence key stakeholders and other partners to achieve results.
    • Influence employee hiring, development, capacity management, performance management, and recognition.
    • Drive agile approach, delivering iterative value and pro-actively removing obstacles to progress.
    • Identify, develop, and implement continuous improvement opportunities.

     

     

     

    So, what are the essential criteria to apply?

     

     

    • All candidates must evidence an existing right to work in the UK
    • 5+ years’ experience in an IT environment
    • 3+ years of management experience leading small to medium size teams
    • 2+ years’ experience in Service Management and broad knowledge of upstream technology
    • Experience with ITIL standards.
    • Experience with enterprise change and release management and its policies.

     

     

    We also have some desirable criteria

     

    • Undergraduate degree in engineering, computer science, marketing or related IT business degree, MBA/MIS/MS desired
    • Experience operating in an environment driven by KPIs where you had the accountability to determine the best course of action to meet your goals
